I’m a certified Japanese teacher (EC–12) in Texas, also certified to teach Mandarin (EC–12) and Art (EC–12). I grew up speaking Japanese, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. This experience allows me to teach Japanese in a way that supports multilingual learners. If your child is more comfortable in Mandarin or English, I can adapt seamlessly to help them thrive in Japanese.

With over 14 years of teaching experience — 9 years in U.S. public high schools and 5+ years successfully teaching online Japanese lessons — I’ve guided more than 2,200 students worldwide. My students include homeschoolers, AP Japanese candidates, JLPT test takers, GCSE learners, and casual hobbyists who simply want to speak Japanese with confidence.
While I value the structure of a school classroom, my passion lies in personalized Japanese tutoring that adapts to each learner’s needs. In my experience, students learn best when they are engaged with topics they genuinely enjoy — not just from a textbook. Whether it’s preparing for a high-stakes Japanese exam or mastering conversational skills, I create lessons that are fun, flexible, and effective.
Currently, I teach private one-on-one Japanese lessons as well as small group classes for homeschooling students on Outschool and other online platforms. My learners come from across the United States and around the globe, connecting with me through live, interactive lessons tailored to their goals.
