I have loved loved loved using Padlet ever since I was teaching at a high school. I used it for everything, and I used it for organizing my teaching materials as well as using it for my everyday class activities for each one of my class. It worked beautifully. It took care of having to write a sub teacher plan. But you have to train your learners to know the drill. I’m not sure if it would work in the current school environment where cellphone use are prohibited though. Back when I was teaching, the cellphone/technology use was encouraged (?!) at least by my school principal. Most teachers hated it. I thought, well, if the students are so addicted to their phones and they’re going to be on it all the time, I might as well drain their battery 😆
So I trained my students to do daily assignment on Padlet and turn it in. It would have a timestamp on it, and I would comment it with correction, so that was easy grading.
I started using Padlet a while back, so I have about 32 or 36 free boards, but I met a teacher who has about 60 free boards!! But she never really use hers!!! What a waste!!! I used up all of mine, and converted all of my Jamboard files to Sandbox before it was going away, so I started paying for my Padlet. It’s worth it everyone. I highly recommend it.
Anyways, Padlet recently came up with a thing called Padlet TA, and it’s AMAZING. But my post is getting too long for one sitting…so I’ll post it next time. #Padletlove @Padlet #Padlet #sachisense @sachisense
